I love you. Seriously. I'd rather eat a bowl of live cockroaches with sour cream than use the official Reddit app, and while FF mobile made Reddit bearable, I had to keep zooming in because some page elements like the arrows were positively tiny, plus I couldn't readily tell which links were videos (I skip videos unless they look really interesting). Red Reader is *beautiful* and I actually came back, looking for a "pro" version so I could support the project.

Very complete, all the functions are there. Open source. No ads. Gets better every update. I have two suggestions: 1. Needs a suggestion feature, maybe in the "about" menu. 2. Needs a "Close Internal Browser" button to get back to the post. Repeatedly hitting the back button to return to the subreddit only doubles the advertising clicks on some sites, and you can tap one too many and get dropped off the post you were reading.

This is a good 3rd party app for reddit. My only complaint so far is that there is no pause feature on videos. On RIF, you can pause and slide to any point in the video. Here, if you touch the video to pause, it just closes the video. Other than that, great app. Edit: And this is exactly why I made this review, hoping you would say exactly that! Thank you! Increased to 5 stars.

Good news :) You can enable this feature under "Settings > Images/Video > Enable video playback controls". The app has a ton of customisation options like this, so you can tweak it to suit your preferences.

What's new

Added a preference to automatically open the first image in an album
Made links blue again in dark themes
Added post tap action preference: open link, open comments, or use old "post title opens comments" behaviour
Fixed long-click menu not appearing when post tap action changed from the default
Reduced top and bottom margins on popup menus to avoid the need for scrolling
Increase number of comments shown in user profile from 25 to 100
